Speedy deletion nomination of VADition
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on VADition requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 16:38, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
The article VADition has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable company lacking Ghits and GNews of substance. Fails WP:COMPANY.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ttonyb (talk) 15:14, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Date formats
Hi, re this edit - please note that we would write the date as 22 May 2010, that is, using cardinal numbers not ordinal numbers, see WP:DATESNO. Thanks. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:29, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information, I'll make sure to remember that in future Mrmatiko (talk) 19:34, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
Station Usage Data Sources
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Haslemere railway station, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Charles (talk) 08:45, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Charles, the source is mentioned in the infobox:
- "* Annual passenger usage based on sales of tickets in stated financial year(s) which end or originate at Haslemere from Office of Rail Regulation statistics. Please note: methodology may vary year on year."
- Are you saying that I should have referenced the usage data separately from this? Mrmatiko (talk) 10:32, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: NetGPad
Hello Mrmatiko, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of NetGPad, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Fæ (talk) 11:19, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. CSD on Andy Anderson Producer
Hi, just dropping by to let you know I challenged your CSD on Andy Anderson Producer. In my opinion the claim that the subject won 4 dove awards indicates why the subject is important, and therefor the article is not eligible for a CSD A7. I have replaced your CSD with a BLPPROD. Monty845 16:06, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know -Mrmatiko (talk) 16:52, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Welcoming new users
Hi, Mrmatiko. Thanks for your willingness to welcome other new editors to Wikipedia. When doing so, please take care to ensure both that
- their contributions so far have been constructive and that
- their usernames are compliant with policy.
This user, for instance, fails on the second point. Thanks, Rivertorch (talk) 22:27, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Please explain to me why this article keeps getting deleted. It is a significant public institution that should have an ecnyclopedia article. What's going on? --Sanya3 (talk) 00:27, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Please explain to me why this article keep s getting deleted. He is a major public figure, and a best-selling author. Why does it keep getting deleted? --Sanya3 (talk) 00:27, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- Both of the articles have been deleted (multiple times) under the importance speedy deletion criteria. In order to avoid this you have to show that there are multiple, reliable, independent sources that can prove why the company or person is important enough to warrant a Wikipedia article. If this isn't possible then don't create the article. Mrmatiko (talk) 06:59, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Are you a bot
You read the word "company" and immediately add a delete tag?! This is not a commercial company, but more like an arts institute. --15:21, 30 May 2011 (UTC)~
- The issue, is the fact that there is nothing to suggest that the company (or organisation) is important per WP:COMPANY, which applies to companies and organisations.Mrmatiko (talk) 15:22, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- You must be joking or have a low IQ problem. You are blocking my edits, as such you are vandalizing. Are you a kid? I've no patience to children. --15:30, 30 May 2011 (UTC)~
- I'm only following the rules, you are not meant to remove speedy deletion templates from articles that you create (it says this on the template) If someone else disagrees with my reasoning then they will decline the request and remove the template; please stop taking this so personally. Mrmatiko (talk) 15:33, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- it's not personal. It is unnecessary. It is not a company, its an arts organization and important for the city. Even the building is historic. --15:46, 30 May 2011 (UTC)~
- Organisations, just like companies are covered by the A7 speedy deletion criteria for proving importance, this requires both a claim of importance and a reliable source backing up that claim. see WP:A7, meet this and the speedy deletion criteria is void. - Mrmatiko (talk) 15:55, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- (Unsolicited third-party input) Not so. Quoting from WP:CSD: "The [A7] criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source or does not qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines." I have no idea what article is involved and offer no opinion on whether there's a credible claim. If it's borderline, why not WP:AfD it? Rivertorch (talk) 20:28, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, I don't see any claim of significance/importance on the article but I'll look into the sparking off the AfD procedure anyway, since that would bring in 3rd party opinions that might help solve this. Mrmatiko (talk) 20:44, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Helen Lucy Burke
Articles should stick to WP:NPOV and not contain personal comments about anyone - in this case either Helen Lucy Burke or Senator Norris.Autarch (talk) 22:53, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
Re: Jeph Jacques
Thanks for that. Yeah, on my screen I was reverting the "testicle photo sales" vandalism...never even saw that other bit. As wonky as the MediaWiki software can get at times, there's no telling what happened. — Huntster (t @ c) 20:06, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Aungnaingsoe82/user's talk
I moved this page to User:Aungnaingsoe82/user's talk since it was pretty clear that was their intention. This page also did not meet speedy deletion criterion G1; per WP:CSD this criterion is reserved for pure gibberish, not just writing that is poor. VQuakr (talk) 09:16, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Message added 20:26, 17 June 2011 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
- I just want to point out that I only cleaned up the links on this page so that people could check the sources easier, I didn't start the AfD process. Mrmatiko (talk) 06:40, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
What are you talking about?
I just removed posts of "Porn Porn Porn" and did not write anything about vadalism. So if you want to be a police-officer, pleas do your job right. And look into the history of the page. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.76.179.243 (talk) 14:54, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Apologies, it appears that you missed some vandalism & someone else removed it. The diff suggested that they had removed only vandalism and I apparently didn't investigate properly and thought that you created it. After looking at it again that was clearly not the case. --Mrmatiko (talk) 15:53, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
BLP Prod declined
Hi - just to let you know I've declined your BLP prod nomination of Peter Sullivan (screenwriter), for two reasons. Firstly, the article does have external links, e.g. the IMDB page. Secondly, the {{BLP Prod}}
tag is only valid for articles created after 18 March 2010, when the BLP policy was amended, i.e. it should not be applied retrospectively. If you feel the article should be deleted, consider taking it to WP:AFD.—Optimist on the run (the admin formerly known as Tivedshambo) (talk) 19:26, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ok thanks for letting me know, I'll study wp:BLP PROD more carefully and ensure that anything I mark as BLP PROD does fully meet the criteria.--Mrmatiko (talk) 20:51, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
